CPR Programs For Everyone! 


Western Turnpike is a certified American Heart Association Training Center.  We can provide training to groups of four or more and companies or organizations upon request.  

We do not hold regularly scheduled courses.  All courses are set up upon demand with a minimum of four participants.

BLS
for the Healthcare Provider

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize serveral life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.  

It is intended for healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.  

- Original Certification Classroom Course 5-6 hours in length
$55 per person onsite fee ($10 additional fee per person for off site course)

- Re-certification Classroom Course 3-4 hours in length
$46 per person onsite fee ($10 additional fee per person for off site course)
must produce a current or recently expired AHA or American Red Cross card to participate

Skills Challenge from Online Course 30 minutes in length  
*Only provided to those who wish to re-certify their card.
$25 per person (onsite only; this fee is in addition to the online course fee through the AHA)

Workplace Training- Heartsaver Courses

The Heartsaver Courses are focused towards companies and other professionals who are required or wish to have certification in the respective courses.  They teach all things anyone would need to know to help out in a emergency.  A completion card is provided at the end of the course.  

- CPR and AED 4 hours in length
$35 per person ($10 additional fee for off site course)

- CPR, AED, and First Aid 5-6 hours in length
$45 per person ($10 additional fee for off site course)

- First Aid Only 2-3 hours in length
$22 per person (no offsite fee)

- Pediatric First Aid Only 2-3 hours in length
$28 per person (no offsite fee)


Community Training

The sad truth is that most people do not survive a cardiac arrest.  Four to six minutes is the window of opportunity for someone to act before it's too late, but few than one-third of cardiac arrest victims get CPR from someone nearby.  

- Family and Friends CPR 2 hours in length
$ 27 per person
The Family and Friend's CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child, or infant.  

- Family and Friends First Aid for Children 2 hours in length
$11 per person

The Family and Friends First Aid for Children course teaches how to manage illness and injury in a child for the first few minutes until professional help arrives.  The program also covers child safety and preventing injuries.
